About me

Hi there! I’m Marco Quiroa, but online I’m known as Mark Q Alvarez—a certified TESOL/TEFL English teacher and ELE Spanish tutor with a passion for languages and teaching.

With over 10 years of experience in customer service and linguistic precision as a remote medical interpreter, I’ve honed my communication skills across Spanish, English, and French. As someone who speaks Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese—and is currently learning Italian—I understand the joys and challenges of mastering new languages.

I’m currently pursuing a technical degree in Translation and Interpretation, and I have an ambitious goal of learning several languages, including Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Thai, Japanese, and more.

For the past five years, I’ve dedicated myself to teaching English independently, and for over two years, I’ve been helping students worldwide learn Spanish on platforms like italki. My lessons are tailored to your unique goals and designed to make language learning effective and enjoyable.

Beyond teaching, I share my experiences and resources through “Languages with Mark,” where I provide tips, strategies, and insights for language learners, teachers, and enthusiasts.
